Are you a blogger/forum poster? If so, then you might have gotten frusted at some of the smiley collection around that forum/blog. As for me, i never seemed to find the right one for my post. So i was looking for a website that would let me post/hotlink images from their site into my post. Alas, most of them were SO full of ads that they lost the main goal of their site. They had like 5 images, sorrounded by 50 ad and banners!

I got so frusted by this, that i desided to make my own! I know this was a bold step, but i just wanted to have a site to post images/smileys into my post…

My goal for the site was to keep it as simple as i could! Then i included 50 images into every page! This made my page load speed drop drastically, so i deleted the template, and just made it a basic website with almost nothing more then whats needed.

This gave rise to the site that is Icon.Somik.org

A few friend of myne saw this site and asked me if he could donate some of his collection of smileys. I happily accepted and let my collection grow. Then, one fine day, one of my friends asked me to open a totally seperate website of same catagory with his collection of smileys. I was surprised by his request until he showed me his collection…

He apparently was a premium emoticon’s fan, and had wasted more then $1000 buying emoticons that are just beautiful! I mean i only saw them on sites, but the price tag on them made me look away! He said he has full rights to the images after he buys it, so he wants to share his collection on my site.

And yes, i am still accepting smiley and emoticon collections. They will be added under any catagory you specify (your name if you ask me to )

So here, they are! The pair of sites for smileys and emoticons for your blog, website, MSN, and other various usage!

Icon and emoticon collection: http://icon.somik.org/

Premium emoticon collection: http://emo.somik.org/
